The Eyes Have It is step-by-step breakdown of Eyeliner and Eyebrow tattooing. The workshop
will be conducted by Mary Jane Haake of Dermigraphics Tattooing Studio. Mary Jane is an
internationally recognized speaker and authority on medical and cosmetic tattooing, She brings 30
years of expertise in tattooing to this always sold-out workshop.
This workshop is designed will teach tattooers how to integrate these permanent makeup
procedures into their studios, and to bring cosmetic tattooers up to the next level in their work.
There will be live demonstrations. Attendees may also be models for all procedures on a “first
come, first served” basis.
Discussions will include: needle and color choices, intake forms, insurance information and
aftercare.

discussion of the challenges of working with different types of scars, including burns, surgical scars
and skin grafts.
Live models needing nipple/areola restoration or scar repigmentation will discuss their unique
challenges and receive repigmentation work - a unique opportunity to come face-to-face with
restoration work.
Learn to determine whether a permanent makeup procedure can be color corrected to achieve the
appropriate color or shape, or whether to apply color lightening techniques in order to achieve the
best results.
This workshop will teach you everything you need to know in order to add these procedures to
your studio, including needle and color choices, intake forms, insurance information and

2:00 p.m.—6:00 p.m. - Tattoo Removal and Color Lightening Workshop explores the history of
removal, and current available techniques. Mary Jane Haake brings over 30 years of experience

Program, and Frances Storrs, Head of Dermatology at OHSU, on topics involving tattoo removal
and allergic reactions.

There will be a tattoo done that is a collaborative mixed media of realism. traditional and graphic illustrative. It will start with proper stencil layout and freehand application, through all the how’s

of everything we know about this style of tattooing, packed in to 4 hours.

James Kern will be presenting his approach to tattooing the complex imagery of visionary artist
